Brett Favre rookie cards have been some of the most popular football cards that are being submitted to PSA for grading.  Favre has a few RC cards that are worth buying in high grades.  Here are some of the most popular Brett Favre cards that you should keep your eyes on.

1991 Wild Card 1000 Stripe Brett Favre rookie card-  This is one of the rarest Brett Favre rookie cards that little or know people really know that much about.  These rare Brett Favre cards were inserted into packs of Wild Card football.  The 1000 Stripe meant that you could redeem the card for 1000 of the same cards without the Stripe.  A 1000 card lot.  The problem is nobody knows how many of these cards were printed and now that Wild Card is out of business it will be very hard to find out.  These cards are great buys if you can find them in PSA 9 condition or better.

1991 Star Pics Brett Favre Autograph Rookie Card- These great Brett Favre rookie cards are starting to get the attention of collectors as well as investors.  This is the only Brett Favre autographed rookie card produced in 1991.  A great value and a great buy in Mint 9 or better condition.  You can pick up a PSA 9 for about $350.  The value of Brett Favre rookie cards will continue to rise and this rare gem will be on top of the list.

Football season is on the horizon and their are a few great rookie cards that should be looked as great investments.  These select rookie cards may double in value if their teams can produce like they did last year.  Here is our list of top 5 rookie cards that would make great investments in PSA 10 condition.

1998 SP Authentic Peyton Manning rookie card-  These scarce cards are very hard to find in Gem MT 10 condition.  If you are looking to buy a Peyton Manning rookie card this is the one that should be on top of your list.  If Peyton can make another Super Bowl run expect his cards to possibly double in value as if they were not expensive enough.

2001 Playoff Contenders Tom Brady Rookie Ticket- If Tom Brady can get the Patriots back to the Super Bowl these cards will surely increase in value.  These rare rookie cards took a hit last year with the Patriots dismal loss in the Playoffs.  Tom Brady cards are great buys in the current market and should be picked up now before they are to expensive.

1991 Stadium Club Brett Favre rookie card-  If Favre comes back this year to lead the Vikings his cards will be great buys.  The Vikings are loaded with talent both offensively and defensively. A Brett Favre rookie card is a great investment even if he doesn’t play as he is a for sure first ballot Hall of Famer.

2008 Playoff Contenders Chris Johnson rookie ticketChris Johnson rookie cards are great investments no matter which one you decide to buy.  We added the Playoff Contenders rookie ticket on the list because it is one of the scarcer cards that he has.

Albert Pujols rookie cards are some of the best baseball cards in the industry.  He has become of the greatest power hitters in baseball and collectors have been investing thousands of dollars in Albert Pujols PSA graded cards.  One of the big problems with these cards is the demand is so high albert-pujols-psa-10-rookie-cardfrom collectors.  This demand has caused some of these prestigious cards to be worth thousands of dollars.  So are they still worth buying? We believe that some of these cards are worth buying.  Here we will discuss which are the best Albert Pujols rookie cards to buy and why.

2001 SP Authentic Albert Pujols autograph card-  This card is very hard to find in good condition.  This is do to the condition sensitive corners. Many of these cards have bad corners and white tips which show up on almost everyone of these cards.  Buying a PSA 10 is a great investments as the population report shows that only a limited amount of these cards have been graded in Gem MT 10 condition.

2001 Topps Chrome Traded Albert Pujols Rookie Card- These cards are much easier to find in good condition due to the quality of the paper stock that they were printed on.  These cards are much more affordable but they were not over printed like some of the other Albert Pujols rookie cards that exist.  Watch out for centering issues as many of these cards were printed off center.

Both of these cards are still worth the investment as long as you can pick them up for the right price.

Many people agree that Derek Jeter rookie cards are great investments.  Their is also not much doubt that Derek Jeter’s best rookie card to date is his 1993 SP rookie.  The question is whether this is a good card to invest in. These cards are very expensive and buying one can be risky depending on the condition the graded card is in.  He will discuss some of the pros and cons of buying a high grade PSA Jeter rookie card.

The PSA registry states that their are only 27 graded PSA 10 Derek Jeter SP rookie cards that have been graded.  This is a very low amount when you consider how many Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck rookies have been graded 10.  Even though more 10’s will be graded in the future by PSA this small amount of cards that are found in a high grade are astonishing.  You still have to factor in other grading card companies into your equation like BGS, GMA, SGC, and some of the others that exist.  So what should these rookie cards be worth.  Well we will have to find another great rookie card of the past that we maybe able to compare it with.  One of these cards maybe another great New York Yankee  in the name of Joe Dimaggio.  Joe had amazing numbers as a Yankee and was always a fan favorite in New York much like Jeter.  His quiet persona always had fans intrigued by the Yankee Clipper.  Derek Jeter has many things in common with Dimaggio.  Old Dimaggio cards are very rare and are much harder to fins in even off grade condition but they may compare to the 1993 SP Jeter rookie card which is much tougher to find in top notch condition.

PROS:

Cards are very rare in High grade condition.

The demand for these cards is extremely high due to Jeter’s immense popularity and one of baseball’s largest fan base.

First Ballot Hall of Famer

May have a chance at Pete Rose’s all-time hits mark.  (Long shot)

CONS:

Already Expensive has PSA 10’s are selling for over $3000

Has many other rookie cards that are much cheaper that will keep collectors from buying the 1993 SP version

Recommendation:

We believe this card is worth the money and even though it comes at a risk with prices hovering over $3000 the potential for this rookie card is astronomical.  One of the main things that people look when collecting baseball cards is a players popularity amongst baseball fans as well as the size of the fan base.  Derek has both things going in his favor as even Red Sox fans respect the Yankee great.  If you cannot afford this card you can find a detailed list of the best Derek Jeter rookie cards as well as their current values.
